Street scenes
Have a walk round the past with images that reveal a sense of community: people walking to their local shops, motor vehicles a rarity. Note the individuality of the shop fronts. Some of these streets have disappeared, some have changed significantly, and others remain relatively untouched. A few scenes will be remembered, to some degree, by older generations, or might be somewhere that people recall been told about. Or they’ll be new, and exciting!
