Vickers Naval Airship in Cavendish Dock, Barrow

The largest naval airship in the World at the time, the HMA1, nicknamed 'Mayfly', after emerging from its shed on Cavendish Dock. Stern view showing rudders. Sailors in a number of rowing boats in attendance. The first flight was 22 May 1911.
