View down the main road towards Allithwaite with a jumble of buildings. On the left is shop with a canopy and a post box on the wall. The ivy covered Crown Inn is at the bottom of the hill. On the right there is a barn with a datestone – MEH 1839. Next, a workshop with two carts upended and a number of cart wheels then a house with openings bricked up.
