Shipyard workers and Vickers Band are in view below. During World War Two the Admiralty requisitioned the vessel and used it as a troop and hospital ship until sunk by U172 in the Mediterranean during December 1942. Note the clock tower above the joiner’s workshop, with someone standing underneath.
