Looking west up the road to Lowick off the main road to Coniston. The Red Lion pub on the right, proprietor Edward Leck, on the sign. A boy on a horse stands outside, a man peers over the wall behind. The road is unmetalled, the forecourt of the pub is cobbled. Curious curved roof edge on the right still exists.
