Image of a photo. H79 was HMS Fame, an F-class destroyer, launched at Vickers Wallsend 28/06/34, and fitted out at Vickers Barrow. Capable of 36 knots and had a distinguished WW2 history being involved in many actions and convoy protection duties. Despite being damaged several times, it was responsible for the destruction of and damage to several U-boats. Acquired by the Dominican Republic Navy in 1949.
