Aground off Bootle

1920-1930

Steam cargo ship reputed to be aground off the coast of Bootle, ship not identifiable, lettering on bridge, funnel and bow not distinguishable. Vessel appears well out of the water with its propeller clearly vertically. Smoke coming out of its funnel indicating power, also anchor deployed with chain visible. Two tugs in attendance further offshore presumably waiting for high tide to take the cargo vessel in tow to safer waters. .
