Narrow Gauge Railway Eskdale

Early 20th century

Looking north in Ravenglass Station. A train with passengers heads out of the station crossing the bridge over the road. A man in a pale jacket and boater, possibly the guard, stands on the rear of the last carriage. Engine shed just ahead and a goods siding at an elevated level to the left for loading quarried material in to standard gauge trucks into a siding below.
