| Date Posted: | North Scale has an extremely interesting history. There are three plaques situated there detailing its origins. Many original brick/stone built buildings remain along with new estates. The very recently completed 21 mile coastal path around Walney Island can be commenced from there. At low tide a causeway may be walked to reach Barrow in Furness. | |
