"Dear Uncle and Aunty, arrived at Furness Abbey Station at 5.40 PM and got home at 5 to Six to find everybody very well. I started work this morning. I was lucky enough to get into a Whitehaven carriage, which was very crowded, but the train a fast one and I had not to change anywhere Norman.”

A few people lounging on the grass. A bell tent and a wooden hut chalet in the background centre left. A farm central and a house to the right with its distinctive summerhouse.
