The Esplanade

A row of houses, some of them probably boarding houses, line the Esplanade. The Belvedere Hotel is central. This became the Belvedere in 1920/1, and the ivy has had to be cleared to erect its sign. Pedestrians, including a boy with a school cap, walk along the pavement.
