Thames Road Walney

Late 1950s

On the new Rainey Park, an estates on Walney Island; Thames Road - at the junction with Trent Vale- curves gently upwards towards. On the right the first block of houses - finished in grey roughcast finish, most with a small door canopy - are linked while opposite brick and render-finished blocks of four flats are at right-angles to the road. After a gap on the right, linked houses continue in steps up the hill - but these are brick-faced.
