The airship His Majesty's Airship 1 (HMA1), known as 'Mayfly', after its accident when it split in half. Sailors in rowing boats in attendance. Tail collapsed. Hydrogen bags visible from the split. The airship is outside its shed. There is a dog on the dock bank.

Looking south along the length of the Menai Suspension Bridge. Large cast iron support chains and rods hang in an arc descending from one of the two support towers which can be seen in the distance. A motor car is crossing the bridge as are several ladies and gentlemen on foot.

There is not Beacon Road in Penrith, but this looks to be Beacon Edge looking west from near the junction with Fell Lane. The view looks down towards a bend with houses beyond. There are walls and trees either side of the road.

A scene in a quarry where a worker with flat cap, in shirt sleeves, stands on a debris-strewn ledge - some three metres above the quarry floor. Hands on hip, he is examining a colleague working, bent over a rake. To the right, large pieces of rock have fallen to the ground while the ghostly figure of a worker in a hat moves into the lower left corner of the image. A short length of narrow-gauge rail track lies behind him and a recent fall of rocks lies against the quarry face.

View north up the River Duddon at the end of Wallowbarrow Gorge. The eastern side of the gorge is largely wooded with the prominent summit of The Pen standing out above the trees. This is an area of large boulders and deep pools.
